Wolfenstein

You play as B.J. Blazkowicz an agent who discovers an artifact that the enemy can use as a weapon. You get missions from contacts and then decide which ones you want to do, giving you a feeling of freedom. Your weapons are upgradeable, and your weapon range is quite nice, you can go from standard realistic weapons to more sci-fi type weapons. There's also special powers given to you from an amulet that allows you to see things otherwise unnoticed, along with other features. The multiplayer component isn't all that great though, offering a discouraging three modes compared to what us FPS (First-Person Shooter) fans are used to with games like Call of Duty and Killzone.

Punisher: No Mercy

Its costs $10. The game has nice environments but not so much characters. It's short (like this review will be), boring, online needs work. To get straight to the point it kinda sucks.

Call of Juarez: Bound In Blood

It's the prequel to the original Call of Juarez. The game is about Ray and Thomas McCall, two brothers who left the army to save there family. When there town gets destroyed they vow to restore it which then leads them west on the search for gold. Due to there absence from the army, they are set to be hunted down. At some point while on the run you meet someone who gives you information about a treasure. Throughout the game you'll have the option of playing as either Ray or Thomas. Each brother has there own style and unique attributes, whether it's being strong or agile, you choose. Some side missions are offered to you but for the most part you'll find yourself just traveling and killing people which for some can seem repetitive and others just plain fun. You'll also be able to duel which is really cool and tests your reflexes.

Prototype

Think of this game as The Hulk Ultimate Destruction with some new paint and added work. Prototype is one of the most fun games you'll find today. You are a fuckin beast in this game, you get to demolish what ever the fuck you want, its great!, the only real drawback is the games graphics which you'd hope would have more detail.

Red Faction: Guerrilla

Red Faction: Guerrilla offers a ton of destruction and fun. The games main premise involves you freeing zones from the EDF (Earth Defense Force). It takes place on Mars and is more fun then interesting. You pretty much get to destroy anything, the explosions are just great. Depending on how you decide to destroy a structure dictates how it crumbles to the ground. While trying to free zones players have access to story and side missions. You can even purchase and upgrade your weapons and tools. There are a variety of online modes that include the same level of destruction and the different types of weapons / tools, whether it be a gun, hammer, or backpack, etc, either way your bound to enjoy yourself with up to 15 other players.

Damnation

Oh man, I don't know where to start, this is going to be a very short review considering there is only but so many ways you can say something sucks. Everything that you can think of pretty much sucks in this game, from frame-rate, loading, controls, graphics, multiplayer, and story (seeing as how you wont play long enough to figure it out). To put it simply this game is better served as a paper weight or some money back from Gamestop. The one thing that is nice is the games cover, other then that some of the environments might look nice but that's it.

Our Review: 3/10

Bionic Commando

Bionic Commando takes place several years after the original. Like it's predecessor the game revolves around the main character Nathan's bionic arm. The controls are difficult at first and will take time and patience before you find yourself swinging around wildly. How the gameplay works around the arm is really fun, you have the ability to grab enemies, launch cars, and grapple onto pretty much anything. You'll be able to travel large distances once you get the hang of it. One frustrating thing about the game is collecting items, items will not be counted as collected until you reach a checkpoint whilst having it, if you happen to die before a checkpoint it is no longer collected and you must get it again. It's multiplayer doesn't do justice either seeing as how it's pitted more towards run and gun combat though as mentioned earlier the games emphasis is on the bionic arm.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

X-Men Origins: Wolverine is what I'd consider an exception to the whole movie- tie in games suck (which they usually do). This game is fun all around from the violence to the extreme gore, there's blood all over and it makes you feel like your actually wolverine himself which is fuckin awesome!

The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena

Assault on Dark Athena comes with an updated version of Escape From Butcher Bay. Due to this being something more along the lines of two games this review will be a bit longer. It's sad that the best thing about Assault on Dark Athena is the updated Escape From Butcher Bay. Though its a FPS (First-Person Shooter) the game is more of a stealth action game. You can obviously go in guns blazing, just don't expect to live very long or get very far seeing as how it only takes a few shots to kill you. You are given some side missions and time to talk to prisoners about how to escape seeing as how that is the general purpose, hence its title.

Wanted: Weapons of Fate

Wanted: Weapons of Fate is an ok game overall. The game focuses a lot around a cover system that is exciting and unique as it helps bring the fast paced action that you'd want from a game like this to life. Like the movie you'll be able to curve bullets and perform other actions, just make sure you pay attention to your adrenaline bar because if you don't have any adrenaline then your out of luck. Though the cover system works out perfect its flaw lies in how much the game relies on it, you'll find that the game is very repetitive. You pretty much follow the same plan, go from cover to cover and shoot until you get to the end. As if this wasn't bad enough you will only be doing this for about 5 hours long considering that's how long it will take you to complete it. Even with all this, what truly makes a game like this no more then a rental is the fact that it gives you no reason to ever go back and play it again as it offers nothing more, not even multiplayer.

Resident Evil 5

Resident Evil 5 is an action packed game that as in past Resident Evil games has you stuck in the middle of a virus outbreak. The game offers some really fun co-op both offline and online. It's considered by some to be Resident Evil 4 with updated graphics, which it can feel like, the thing is this isn't a bad thing since it was an amazing game, it just makes it feel like nothing new has been added. One major complaint that most people have with this game is the fact that you cannot move and shoot, apparently its to make everything more intense. For some this really sucks considering we all wanna run and shoot but for others it helps it stay true to the series which not much of this game does. You'll find its not the kind of Resident Evil game that your used to, it's more a fun action game then a survival horror one. It doesn't truly scare you like the past games did.

Killzone 2

Killzone 2 is a FPS (First-Person Shooter). It's a sequel to the original Killzone in which you were fighting the Helghast (Enemy Faction) on your planet known as Vekta. Well now the ISA (Your Faction) takes the fight to the enemies home in Helghan. Killzone 2 boasts beautiful graphics that you wont see on any other console game released thus far. The online is unmatched, you'll be playing for days on end, it offers different classes that can be fun and frustrating. Each class has there own unique abilities and weapons along with a ranking and badge system that gives players more abilities and fun. It supports up to 32 players online for some crazy wars. The gameplay is outstanding, you feel the weight of each of your weapons, there's blood all over, debris falling after an explosion, etc. Killzone 2 is a must own for any FPS fan.

Afro Samurai

Afro Samurai is a pure hack and slash game. The story is about Afro trying to avenge his fathers death. The controls are as simple as they get with a button for blocking, light attacks, and heavy attacks. Like the amine this game is gruesome and has limbs being cut off all over the place with blood going everywhere from the screen to the streets. Throughout the game you'll have a pendant that gives you some special abilities, such as the ability to slow down time or go into hyper mode. As much as all of this sounds nice the games camera is horrid. The camera rarely focuses on you, leaving you to repeatedly put it in focus, this is really annoying when fighting a ton of enemies. As if this wasn't bad enough the left/right camera is inverted and cannot be changed, though the up/down camera can be, but as with all the games options they can only be changed from the games main menu which is really annoying and pointless.
